We call on the Canadian Federal Government to halt all donations to the United Nations and other international organizations until every child in Canada is part of a food-secured household. It is alarming that 1 in 3 children in northern Canada live in households that are food insecure, according to a study by PROOF, an interdisciplinary research group investigating policy options to reduce food insecurity. This situation demands immediate attention and action.

We propose that these funds be redirected towards enhancing the capacity of Canadian Food Banks and implementing initiatives aimed at reducing grocery prices nationwide. By doing so, we can ensure our children have access to nutritious meals, thereby promoting their overall health and development.
