I, like many others who have found their cherished chronicle of personal and creative content lost in an instant due to YouTube's algorithmic decision-making process, struggle with the implications of a seemingly unjust suspension. My small but meaningful channel, used primarily to privately archive treasured family memories, and I've had some public  AliExpress product videos, was suspended permanently without any prior warning or strikes. The channel contained videos of my grandfather sharing his life stories, videos of my cat, and videos of my friend interacting with them - all personal and valuable memories that are now unfortunately lost.

In an era where YouTube frequently hosts billions of videos, AI and machine learning may help manage such massive content. However, the fairness and transparency of its appeal and review process need a serious overhaul. Like many small YouTube channel owners, my appeal was denied, and an opportunity to submit a second one was denied, leaving me feeling helpless and unheard.

YouTube's system has resulted in scores of innocent users suffering a similar fate. Hence, this petition does not only represent my personal predicament but a collective concern of many YouTube users. Further, there's an urgent need to reevaluate how appeals are processed, and ensuring that users' concerns are attended to meticulously and justly. We beseech YouTube to review its policy and practice of channel suspension and ensure it is fair and transparent, that they present the appropriate evidence, show why and for which content such actions have been taken, give us a warning or a strike before taking such drastic measurements. Also, permanent suspensions shouldn't exist, temporary suspensions are a way to go. No option to download valuable videos. My YouTube account is now a virus and if I share a device with my Google account with someone their YouTube channel will get terminated too. How is that even fair?
