Roblox is a platform that has brought joy and creativity to millions of young users across the globe. However, as a concerned user and advocate for safety on online platforms, I am compelled to bring attention to a significant issue that threatens the very foundation of trust Roblox has built. Recently, Roblox sent a Cease and Desist to a YouTuber named Schlep, a devoted individual who has made remarkable efforts to protect the platform by exposing and helping to remove child predators. Instead of commending his actions and taking firm steps to enhance platform safety, Roblox prioritized silencing a critical voice of safety and vigilance.

Some examples of negligence by the Roblox Corporation is that they allow games on the platform that are practical hubs for predators to be on. There are games that are literal public bathrooms, condos, clubs, and other hangout games that are so obviously just made for people on the platform to have sexual interactions with each other. There are hundreds of those games, and the problem has been around for years. And never once has it been taken care of. What is even more insane now is that Roblox has recently added in a Dating feature for users that are 17+. Adding a dating feature on a platform made for kids is insane. What if a child got their parents ID and used it to verify themselves as a 17+ user. Then they could  get access to all those features that are only meant for adults.

This troubling decision reflects the ongoing negligence of David Baszucki, CEO of Roblox Corporation. Baszucki appears more focused on maintaining the company's pristine image for investors than on ensuring a safe environment for children. This disturbing prioritization over child safety becomes evident with numerous cases where action against predators was only taken after public outrage reached a boiling point.

JiDion (another predator catcher), Schlep, and other dedicated individuals have also faced repercussions for their efforts to bring attention to predators lurking on Roblox's popular platform. This pattern of hostility towards those striving to secure the platform suggests an alarming lack of commitment from Roblox's leadership to tackling the fundamental issues of user safety.

Immediate change is essential. David Baszucki, as the figurehead of Roblox Corporation, must resign from his position. His departure will signal a new era committed to transparency, safety, and accountability, ensuring that safeguarding young users becomes the central focus of Roblox's operations.

Replacing leadership with individuals who genuinely prioritize user safety will restore trust and secure a healthier, predator-free environment, aligning Roblox with the safety expectations of its vast user base. Join us in demanding David Baszucki's resignation for the better future of Roblox’s young community.
