Demand CT University Review Its Tuition Fee Payment Policy
The Issue
I am a former student of CT University, and I had to discontinue my studies because I was unable to pay the tuition fees for the subsequent semester in advance, despite having paid for and completed my current semester.
The requirement to pay future semester fees before being allowed to sit examinations places students in an extremely difficult position. A student may have attended classes throughout the semester, completed assignments, practicals, and other academic requirements, only to find themselves unable to write their examinations because they cannot afford to pay fees for a semester that has not yet begun.
For students and families facing financial difficulties, this can have serious consequences. Missing examinations can lead to academic delays, backlogs, additional financial pressure, and disruption to a student’s career plans.
My own experience is an example of how this policy can affect a student’s education and future. I believe that financial difficulties should not prevent a student from being given the opportunity to complete and be assessed on the semester they have already studied.
Education should provide students with an opportunity to progress, not create barriers that make it impossible for them to continue when they are facing temporary financial difficulties.
What We Are Asking For
We are calling on CT University management to review the current tuition fee payment policy that requires students to pay subsequent semester fees before sitting their current semester examinations.
We believe there should be a fairer and more flexible approach that allows students to write examinations for the semester they have completed without being required to prepay tuition for a future semester.
This petition is not against CT University or its right to collect tuition fees. It is a call for a fairer policy that takes into consideration the financial realities faced by students.
Our Goal
We are targeting 1,300 signatures from students, former students, parents, educational stakeholders, and other members of the community who support a review of this policy.
Every signature strengthens our voice. The faster we reach our target, the faster we can submit the petition to the university for consideration.
Education should come first. Students deserve a fair opportunity to complete the academic journey they have worked for.
