Yet, misusing his position of power, Counsellor James Garnor committed heinous and cruel acts towards an innocent cat. The shocking incident, captured on video, shows Suki being blasted after stepping into a birdhouse rigged with explosives. James Garnor used a remote control device to detonate explosives, filming the attack and subsequently sending this video to friends. 

Animal cruelty is a severe issue across the world. A study showed that approximately 65% of all animal cruelty cases involve dogs or cats (Humane Society, 2019). It is heartbreaking that a person of authority, like Counsellor James Garnor, contributes to this harrowing statistic. His actions not only scar the community he was elected to serve but also set a dangerous precedent for others to follow.
