Demand Community Banks to Cancel Contract with Solano EDC Revolving Loan Fund

Demand Community Banks to Cancel Contract with Solano EDC Revolving Loan Fund
The Issue
Our community banks First Northern Bank, Valley Strong and Travis Credit Union have been integral parts of our lives in Solano County, CA. They have not only provided us with financial services but also partnered with us in various community initiatives. However, we are deeply concerned about their involvement in the administration of the Solano EDC Revolving Loan Funds, which is funded by $4 Million ARPA Money.
We believe that these funds should be used for the betterment of our community and not for revolving loans that could potentially exploit vulnerable individuals and families. We urge these banks to demonstrate their commitment to our community by canceling their contract with this loan fund.
By doing so, they would be taking a stand against potential financial exploitation of small businesses, that should have access to ARPA monies without heavy requirements and reaffirming their commitment to serving the best interests of our community. This action would set a precedent for other banking institutions across the country and send a clear message about where they stand on issues affecting local communities.
We call upon all residents of Solano County who value ethical practices to join us in this petition. Let's urge our banks to put people before profits! Sign this petition today!
