LIES ARE NOW TOO GREAT FROM MAINSTREAM TELEVISION
BBC Breakfast reporter Chris Mason (twitter address @chrismasonbbc ) lying by omission that the Labour party is in government, with power over law and money policy, to voters in Hartlepool.
The old father and adult son on the interview at 08:11 on Sunday, May 9, 2021, blame various cut backs in Hartlepool, when the Tories have been in power since 2010, not understanding that their former Labour MP had no power over law or money policy.

NHS CUTS
Hartlepool Hospital accident and emergency unit was closed in 2011 under a Tory led government.
North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Trust said there are not enough specialist members of staff to have consultant-led maternity unit in both University Hospital of Hartlepool and Stockton at the University Hospital of North Tees.

Hartlepool magistrates was closed in 2017, after 7 years of Tory government.

HARTLEPOOL POLICE CUTS
Cleveland Police and Crime Commissioner back in 2018 informed of eight years of Tory government cuts to Cleveland Police (that includes Hartlepool) by £40m and a reduction of 500 police officers. Back in 2018 the impact of cuts to Cleveland Police hit the headlines in November when a national TV news report revealed just 10 police officers were allocated for the whole of Hartlepool on a Saturday night.

LACK OF HARTLEPOOL CUSTODY SUITE
The old father in the interview bemoaned lack of Police cells. An example of this, is the cells at the police station in Avenue Road were mothballed in early 2019 (under Tory government) and Cleveland Police announced earlier in the year it had launched a review on their future. There is not a custody suite in Hartlepool.

CONCLUSION
It took me about half an hour all told to find the information above, all published over the years in the local newspaper, the Hartlepool Mail. Both in online news and it would have been in the printed version.
We desperately need Channel 4 television, supposed by law to give alternative viewpoints, to say truth, even at this most basic level. Please ask family and friends to sign my petition, and widely share to your work mates.
