Demand Carthage College Freeze Tuition Hikes

Demand Carthage College Freeze Tuition Hikes
The Issue
Carthage College students and faculty are being asked to shoulder an unfair burden. Tuition has been raised repeatedly over the past several years, placing a growing financial strain on students and their families. Meanwhile, President John Swallow’s salary has increased, and top administrators continue to earn hefty compensation packages.
At the same time, many of the professors who dedicate their time and energy to educating and mentoring students are underpaid and undervalued. The gap between executive pay and the treatment of faculty and students is widening, and it’s unacceptable.
This isn’t just about money. It’s about priorities.
Instead of investing in the people who make Carthage what it is, the students and the educators, the administration continues to mismanage funds, failing to address the real needs of the community. We demand a tuition freeze and greater financial transparency from the administration.
It’s time for action.
Join us for a peaceful protest this Saturday, April 26th at 12 PM by the flagpoles.
Students, faculty, and members of the local community are all welcome, your presence shows solidarity and sends a message that we will not stay silent.
Sign this petition if you believe it’s time for change. Carthage College must stop raising tuition and start supporting the people who make this college great.
