Demand Boulder Shut Down Anti-Israel Partnership After Terrorist Attack

The Issue

On Sunday, June 1st, 2025, Mohamed Soliman, an Egyptian national in the United States, committed a depraved and antisemitic act of terror against civilians in Boulder, Colorado, who had been peacefully demonstrating for the release of hostages held in Gaza by Hamas. After more than a year of planning, Soliman made nearly 20 Molotov cocktails and hurled several into a crowd, injuring at least a dozen people between the ages of 52 and 88, including a Holocaust survivor. Several remain in critical condition.

Soliman's actions come amidst a rising trend of false accusations and sensationalized reports against Israel, and, while the City of Boulder and its officials have condemned the attack, their actions leading up to it created an environment of antisemitism that allowed this to happen.

Boulder is currently sister cities with Nablus, Palestine, a hotbed of Islamic extremism that is the home of the Nablus Brigades and the Lions' Den, terror groups that have killed, kidnapped, and injured dozens of Israeli citizens in the past few years. The government-sponsored Boulder-Nablus Sister City Project Facebook page has shared numerous posts baselessly accusing Israel of genocide.

In the wake of this attack, which comes just two weeks after the murder of a Jewish couple in Washington, D.C. by a gunman who also yelled, "Free Palestine," the city government should not be promoting antisemitic rhetoric that inevitably leads to attacks like this.

Urge the city of Boulder to suspend its sister city relationship with Nablus immediately!
