This is a proposition to create and enact a bill that will end an epidemic that plagues our country and places a burden on all of our innocent children. We have witnessed gun violence in America's schools rise rapidly since the early 2000's and while solutions have been proposed, few are implemented or could even be considered effective. We have not pushed hard enough for a resolution. There's an answer for stopping this devastating attack on our children. It is time we put our youth first in this country. Time to demand the most defenseless are properly defended! This level of protection falls upon every adult in this country to take a stand and speak out. We must come together and make our voices loud and clear. We hope you will join us in making every school K-12 across America a much safer space for our children to grow. We are petitioning for the government, on a federal level to step in. Federally is the only option we have to make this national across the country so that no school or county is left out of active safety measures due to no funding, bad policies or demographics. No child gets left behind, not this time! It is now, or it will never happen.  
We are creating a movement to place armed, highly qualified and honorable military personnel, decorated veterans, long standing respected officers or firemen aged 40 or older at all schools across America. 
Those whom have proven to uphold the law and have lived as outstanding citizens. They can not have any criminal records including any act of violence. No road rage records or loss of self control of any kind! Nothing! All records must be spotless. Anyone with a juvenile record will not be permitted to enter into the program. There cannot even be a charge of probable cause that was dismissed. These men must be highly respectable citizens. These individuals would undergo rigorous annual medical and mental evaluations, ensuring that they do not have PTSD or are on any mind-altering medications. Such measures guarantee that they remain capable of maintaining focus and performing their duties calmly, capably and responsibly. Additionally, they would partake in monthly drug tests, maintaining a strict standard that ensures the utmost safety and trustworthiness.

Gun violence at schools not only jeopardizes the lives of our children but also deeply affects their psychological well-being. This movement will protect future generations to come. Time and again, policymakers struggle to enforce measures that provide the security needed to prevent these tragedies. If our government isn't competent enough to ensure the safety of our youth, we must take action and show them we are more than competent! Placing safety personnel with active shooter training on school premises is a tangible step towards providing this assurance. However, this is only one step of this petition. The next step would be a more gradual step due to cost and the amount of funding needed. The second goal is to replace all windows that lead to outside areas with bullet proof glass and hopefully, eventually all windows with in every school. This would be done over a period of several years. The final step would be a federal bill stating any newly built school that houses children is under full regulations to only have bullet proof glass windows installed effective immediately once the bill was passed. 

With comprehensive training and courses on gun safety protocols, these men would be more than just guards; they would symbolize safety and security for students, educators, and parents. A robust annual salary starting at $60,000, subject to increase based on factors such as school location, demographic needs, and other conditions, would honor and respect the significant responsibility they bear. As well as draw in qualified candidates.

To all American citizens who prioritize safeguarding our children, it is imperative that we address the critical issue of school security. By proactively placing trained and armed personnel in schools, we can significantly enhance the protection of our youth and invest in their future by ensuring a secure learning environment. It is illogical to assume that restricting access to firearms for law-abiding citizens will prevent criminals from obtaining them. We cannot permit the erosion of our fundamental rights when there are more effective solutions to securing our schools. The notion that disarming responsible gun owners will solve the problem is a fallacy and unethical. Criminals will always find means to acquire firearms, and it is misguided to focus on restricting the rights of honest and respectable gun owners. The real issue lies in the lack of concern for security in our schools. We protect our financial institutions, sporting events, and other critical infrastructure with robust security measures, yet our schools remain vulnerable. This is unacceptable and demands immediate attention. Our children are being exploited for political gain, and it is our responsibility as citizens to put an end to this. 
Let us examine the facts. According to surveys conducted in 2023, approximately 107 million Americans owned firearms, with an estimated 50-60 percent of homeowners possessing at least one firearm. In the same year, 17,927 people lost their lives to gun violence, which translates to 0.0054% of the American population. While any loss of life is tragic, this statistic is remarkably low considering the number of gun owners. Politicians often misrepresent this fact. To put this into perspective, the likelihood of being killed by gun violence is very low. Furthermore, the government does not provide data on the number of murders committed by repeat offenders, which raises concerns about the effectiveness of our justice system. It is essential to acknowledge that the blame for these tragedies lies not with responsible gun owners but with the government's failure to address the root causes of violence. For context, in 2023, approximately 40,000 individuals died in car accidents, and an estimated 613,349 people passed away due to cancer. These statistics underscore the need to reevaluate our priorities and focus on addressing the actual causes of violence. It is crucial to recognize that guns are not the primary issue; rather, it is the government's inaction and exploitation of our children for political gain that demand our attention. I encourage you to examine the statistics from countries where guns have been banned, such as North Korea, Venezuela, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Indonesia, where crime, assault, and trafficking are rampant. A country without the right to self-defense is vulnerable to destruction. I do not take pleasure in sharing these statistics, but it is essential to understand the significance of this issue. The numbers unequivocally demonstrate that guns are not the problem; rather, it is the government's failure to address the root causes of violence that demands our attention. America was founded on the principles of freedom and self-defense, and it is our responsibility to ensure that these rights are preserved for future generations. We must prioritize the safety and security of our children, and this petition serves as a call to action to make our voices heard.

Extremely worthy statistics are presented here, outlinine a proposal for funding allocations. For the fiscal year 2024, the Department of Education fund was granted $200 billion to distribute among school systems, predominantly universities and K-12 lower divisions. A significant issue arises where universities received approximately 71% of the funding, while K-12 schools, which are in dire need of restructuring, received only about 25%. This disparity is troubling, especially considering universities also receive substantial donations. In 2023, one university received over $1 billion in donations, in addition to $4 billion in federal funding and a $13 billion endowment. This highlights a significant failure on the part of the Department of Education. The majority of the 71% allocated to universities went towards grants and loans for higher education pursuits. However, it has been reported that student loan debt has reached an all-time high of $181 trillion and continues to grow, with funds not being repaid. This raises questions about the effective utilization of these funds. This petition advocates for immediate and drastic change, prioritizing security measures for K-12 schools to prevent school shootings. Taxpayers demand change, seeking a more equitable allocation of funds. The proposal suggests reducing university funding to 60% over the next five years, with many institutions having investors, philanthropists, and endowments to cover the remaining 11%. This reallocation would provide K-12 schools with approximately $80 billion per year over the next five years, sufficient to cover armed security personnel and bulletproof glass installations for all schools, public and private. After the 5 years a more balanced percentage of funding would take place to ensure the cost to cover a guard at every school across the nation. The funds are already available within the Department of Education; however, they are being mismanaged. This petition aims to determine which leaders prioritize the safety and well-being of America's youth. There is no justification for not supporting this initiative, which urges the government and educational institutions to adopt this vital proposal.
