Demand an Independent Investigation into FIFA, the Possible Disqualification of Argentina from the FIFA World Cup 2026 if Violations Are Proven, and Stronger Sanctions Against Racism
Every football fan has the right to believe that what they witness on the pitch is genuine; that players compete on equal terms; and that trophies are earned through sporting merit rather than through favoritism, discrimination, corruption, or any influence unrelated to fair competition. Public confidence is the foundation of every international sporting event, and once that confidence is compromised, the credibility of the competition itself is placed at risk.
In recent years, numerous public controversies, allegations, and widespread concerns have emerged regarding refereeing decisions, disciplinary actions, governance, transparency, and the consistent enforcement of FIFA regulations. These concerns have generated legitimate questions among millions of supporters, journalists, former players, analysts, and football stakeholders regarding the integrity, impartiality, and credibility of international football.
Equally concerning are the repeated reports of racism, xenophobia, and discriminatory conduct during international football competitions. Reports of racist abuse directed at Black players, supporters, and other individuals, together with concerns regarding inconsistent disciplinary responses, undermine FIFA's commitment to equality, respect, human dignity, and fair play. Racism has no place in football and must be met with firm, consistent, and meaningful sanctions.
For these reasons, we respectfully call for a truly independent, transparent, and internationally supervised investigation into the matters that have generated widespread public concern. The investigation should determine whether FIFA regulations were applied impartially, whether disciplinary decisions were consistent, whether conflicts of interest or undue influence existed, and whether allegations of racism and discrimination were properly investigated and sanctioned.
Should the independent investigation establish violations of FIFA regulations, breaches of sporting integrity, corruption, undue influence, or discriminatory conduct that materially affected the fairness or legitimacy of the competition, we call for the full application of all disciplinary measures available under FIFA's regulatory framework.
Where supported by the evidence and permitted under the applicable regulations, these measures should include the disqualification of the Argentina National Team from the FIFA World Cup 2026, the withdrawal or revocation of any titles, trophies, awards, or competitive benefits obtained through proven misconduct, and any other sanctions deemed appropriate under FIFA's statutes and disciplinary regulations.
We further call upon FIFA to investigate all reported acts of racism, xenophobia, and discrimination committed by supporters, officials, players, or representatives associated with the Argentina National Team. Where individual responsibility is established through due process, FIFA should impose the strongest disciplinary sanctions available under its Disciplinary Code, including stadium bans, financial penalties, and any additional measures necessary to combat discrimination and protect the dignity of every person involved in the sport.
Football is more than entertainment. It is founded upon fairness, respect, accountability, transparency, and the equal application of the rules. No federation, national team, official, player, or supporter should stand above those principles.
By signing this petition, you are supporting transparency, accountability, sporting integrity, equal enforcement of FIFA regulations, and zero tolerance for racism and discrimination. Together, we can help ensure that the FIFA World Cup is decided solely by merit on the field and that corruption, discrimination, or undue influence have no place in the world's most important football competition.
