Demand an End to Organizations Like Todd Becker Foundation Targeting Teens in Schools
The Issue
The Todd Becker Foundation, an organization claiming to help high school students make positive life choices, is influencing our young adults during school hours, (and SOLICITING THEM WITHOUT SUPERVISION) with religious undertones. As a concerned citizen, I was appalled to learn of what is essentially a religious indoctrination occurring within the walls of our public schools, violating the constitutional principle of separation of church and state.
The Todd Becker Foundation has visited hundreds of public schools, reaching tens of thousands of students with their message under the guise of a secular anti drinking and driving program. However, these programs often now START with an invitation for students to join them at a local CHURCH, fostering an environment which prioritizes one religion over others and over non-religion.
It is crucial to remember that the U.S. Constitution mandates a separation of church and state, specifically to prohibit public schools from advancing or inhibiting religion (Abington School District v. Schempp, 1963).
We must preserve the neutrality of our public schools, where students of all faiths and none should feel equally valued and respected. It is not the place for organizations to influence impressionable minds with their religious messages. Public schools should focus on providing a well-rounded education that prepares our youngsters for the future.
We urge the necessary authorities to prevent this and similar outreach programs from accessing our public school children during school hours. We demand an immediate investigation into the actions of the Todd Becker Foundation and similar organizations.
Stand with us to uphold the constitutional principle of church-state separation and the integrity of our education system. Sign the petition.
If you look at the links below, you’ll see that they put their hands on children and pray.
He insinuates that he thinks his brother is most likely in hell.
Do you want your children to be asked “Where do you want to go when you die?” And feel peer pressured into making a “lifelong” commitment as a child?!?!
