Demand Affordable Sports Programs for Pine Hills Youth

Demand Affordable Sports Programs for Pine Hills Youth
The Issue
This is a CALL TO ACTION for all families and community members in Pine Hills, Florida and Orange County. This concerns our children, our community, our future. My name is Janacha Ford. I am a mother of ten and the President of the Orlando Chiefs Youth Sports. Today, I speak for every youth program fighting to provide our children with real opportunities, especially those who are underserved and underprivileged.
Currently, youth sports programs in Pine Hills are facing exorbitant league fees and costs to run a program are very high it is simply unaffordable for many families. The burden of high costs means that children in our community are being denied the chance to participate in sports, which are essential for their physical and social development. As a community, we are being taken advantage of, and it is our responsibility to speak up and demand change.
Facilitation that claims to support but instead 'scams' the community must be called out. Families are struggling to afford a place where their children can play and grow both on and off the field. The affordability of these programs is critical — sports and recreational activities should not be a privilege for the few but a right for all our children.
We are calling on community leaders, local government, and organizations to review the policies and pricing structures of youth sports programs. Reduce fees, offer subsidies, and create partnerships that can make sports accessible to every child in Pine Hills and the west side of Orlando . Our community’s strength lies in its ability to unify for a common cause — the welfare and development of our youth. We want more variety of sports as well.
Please join us in this vital cause. By signing this petition, you lend your voice to the movement demanding fair and accessible sports programs for all children in Pine Hills and west Orlando . Together, let's ensure that no child is left on the sidelines due to financial barriers. Let's show that our village stands strong and united for the future of our children.
