For Immediate Release Parents’ Coalition Reaffirms: Leadership Requires Presence, Transparency, and Commitment — Not Remote Control or Paid Proxies Orange County, CA — The Parents’ Coalition today issued a statement addressing growing concerns about individuals publicly claiming leadership roles in the recall movement while failing to demonstrate the basic responsibilities that leadership requires. The coalition emphasized that leadership is not performed from home, through social media, or by paying others to show up in your place. True leadership—especially in a movement built by families—requires consistent presence, accountability, and transparency. “Anyone claiming to lead this recall effort must show up from beginning to end at every protest,” the coalition stated. “Appearing only when a hearing aligns with your personal case is not leadership. That is a personal agenda.” The Parents’ Coalition underscored that the recall movement has been built, sustained, and advanced by parents who have shown up—physically, consistently, and without compensation. These families have carried the weight of organizing, messaging, and public presence, often while navigating their own court struggles. “Transparency is not selective,” the coalition added. “If you want to lead a movement demanding accountability, then accountability applies to you as well. Leadership must be transparent to all, not just when it benefits your personal situation.” The coalition reaffirmed that the recall effort remains parent‑driven, community‑rooted, and free from financial motives. Any attempt to claim ownership without demonstrating the work, presence, and integrity required will continue to be challenged. “This movement belongs to the parents who have been doing the work—not to those who show up only when it serves them.”
