The Issue

In the heart of Quakertown, an alarming incident on February 20th involving a group known as the 'Quakertown Five' has been in the spotlight.

These individuals violently assaulted police officers, undermining the trust and safety of our community. This brazen act not only puts at risk the lives of those who serve our community daily, but also sets a dangerous precedent if not addressed.

The ‘Quakertown Five’ first assaulted a man in his 70s (who serves as the Chief of Police), in the presence of uniformed officers. They then resisted and attacked other officers who were significantly outnumbered by a crowd of more than 35 individuals.

While some have expressed that those involved were only minors and they don’t deserve a record, their behavior reflected deliberate and aggressive criminals. No individual should be expected to endure physical assault simply because the aggressors are young.

QPD officers dedicate their lives to ensuring the safety of our community. The 'Quakertown Five' must be prosecuted for their actions to uphold justice and protect the integrity of our legal system.

We, as a society, cannot stand by and allow such acts to go unpunished. This incident poses a significant threat to the future of public safety and our community. It is imperative that the judicial system acts by charging these individuals appropriately for their crimes. What will happen to our community if we teach these children that assaulting officers is acceptable?

It’s time we call for a thorough investigation followed by appropriate legal action against all those involved in the incident on February 20th. This is not just about punishment,  but about showing our community that this lawlessness will not prevail.

We urge everyone who values justice and community safety to join us in this cause. Stand with us to demand accountability for the actions of the 'Quakertown Five'. Sign this petition and help us safeguard the well-being of our community and those who protect it every day.
