Demand action against workplace bullying at Avis Budget

Demand action against workplace bullying at Avis Budget
The Issue
Having worked at Avis Budget located at DFW Airport from August 2023 to December 2023, I was subjected to a hostile work environment orchestrated by Cathy and her husband Mr. Castro. These two, both formerly of Peru and claiming political refugee status in the U.S., routinely threatened and intimidated not just their colleagues in the vehicle return department, but also management and the HR Department. Their actions created an atmosphere of fear and harassment, where coworkers felt powerless, and management seemed unwilling to intervene. This persistent bullying went unchecked, with management failing to enforce policies that protect employees from such abuse. I left the company in December 2022, hoping that filing a complaint with the Employment Equal Opportunity Commission (EEOC) would lead to justice. Unfortunately, the complaint went unresolved, as the U.S. Government did not schedule a hearing, leaving this toxic culture unaddressed. Workplace bullying has significant negative impacts on employee well-being, productivity, and morale. According to the Workplace Bullying Institute, nearly 30% of Americans are affected by workplace bullying in some form, leading to increased absenteeism, high turnover rates, and mental health issues. Avis Budget must take immediate and decisive action to address this systemic issue within their workforce. We call on Avis Budget to thoroughly investigate these claims, implement effective anti-bullying policies, and provide comprehensive training for management and staff to prevent such occurrences in the future. By doing so, Avis Budget can set a precedent for zero tolerance to workplace bullying and create a safe, supportive environment for all its employees.
If anyone is a shareholder as well they should hold this company accountable since their investments can be negatively impacted. I am also asking that Avis Budget personally apologize for the mistreatment I got. Sign this petition to pressure Avis Budget into taking responsibility and to ensure no other employee has to endure such appalling treatment.
