We, The undersigned members of the community who Declare that the University of Wollongong Council has lost the confidence of the University and Broader Community and Demand:

1.     The University Council Stand Aside: Given the systemic failures highlighted by ICAC, the University Council must stand aside pending the final findings and recommendations issued by the Commission. If it refuses to do so we call upon the NSW Minister for Skills, TAFE and Tertiary Education, TEQSA and any other relevant authority to take all steps available within their respective powers to remove or replace them through appropriate statutory and regulatory processes. 

2.     Suspend All Action to Appoint New Chancellor: The Council must undertake not to nominate or appoint a new Chancellor to replace Michael Still until the governance crisis is fully resolved and public confidence is restored.

3.     Protect Staff Employment and Conditions: The Council must guarantee that it will not take any actions adverse to the employment, job security, or working conditions of any university staff member during this period of instability. Staff must not bear the burden of this leadership crisis.
