Demand Accountability for UNITED AIRLINES' Corporate Wrongdoing and Extreme Negligence

The Issue

Please help us to stop United Airlines Extreme Negligence and Corporate Wrongdoing so we can prevent more victims and be the voice of the voiceless! We have decided to speak up against the inhuman actions and extreme bad business practices from United Airlines. We are sharing our story in efforts to prevent more victims and hoping that other families will have to go through this horrible experience with United Airlines.

My brother is a Doctor in Engineering Physics and Nanotechnology, he is one of the Top Young Physicists in the world, but he has been in a COMA  due to United Airlines extreme negligence, we are praying that he will make it. My brother contributed so much to our society from young age and United Airlines tried to destroy his mankind and his family, he didn’t deserve to be treated this way at all.

In 2015 my brother was nominated as one of the top Young Researcher around the world to join Nobel prize winners in Germany.

My brother was awarded a Prestigious S2A3 Bronze Medal which contributed to the advancement of science.

My brother is a Senior Research Associate and a Deputy Chair at The African Light Source Foundation.

My brother was recruited last year from Germany to come to the USA and help with research and building a Physics & Astronomy Laboratory.

But now my brother is currently facing a life-threatening injury in the USA due to United Airlines extreme negligence and Inhuman Bad Business Practices. The Doctor said that he had some neck injury which affected his carotid arteries and blocked major blood vessels and he wasn’t getting enough blood and oxygen in his brain, when it happened time was of the essence and if United Airlines would have given him any assistance or called a status 1,2, or 3, EMS, or 911, he wouldn’t have ended up in a coma.

My brother flew with United Airlines in New York as a normal functioning man and he even video chatted with his wife. In facts this was business trip, he was working in Cornell University Itcha laboratories, and he was flying back to bring some samples of the experimental he was working on to help at Louisiana State University Laboratory but when United Airlines landed in Baton Rouge he was immediately taken to the ICU, and he has been in a Coma. United Airlines didn’t even bother to call 911.

It was a genuine stranger, another passenger that called and she told us that United Airlines completely refused to give him the assistance, she is the one who looked after him all the way because he was severely disabled. The passenger who helped him even begged United Airlines to help her with her kid so she can be able to focus on my brother, but United Airlines staff ignored her completely.

That passenger alerted airline staff who failed to render aid and the pilots also didn’t act. Upon landing my sister in-law called her husband since she didn't see him at the airport and the passenger who stayed with him answered. During these incidents time is of the essence and the failure by United Airlines led to costly time to get my brother to the hospital.

To this point, we don’t really know what happened to my brother on the flight from New York to Huston because United Airlines has refused to comment or at least tell us what happened.  From what we know, the witness told us that my brother was lifted by 2 United Airlines staff in his seat in the flight from Huston to Baton Rouge and he was already unconscious, we want to know why United Airlines didn’t care to call for medical help in Huston? Or if he was incapacitated to the point when he can’t hold himself up or be able to stand or talk at all, United Airlines should have question why he wasn’t travelling with someone or question why United Airlines weren’t notified ahead of time about his condition, if he was actually severely disabled. The witness also told us that she told United Airlines before the flight took off that my brother was in critical condition, and he shouldn’t be travelling but they ignored her completely and apparently, they thought he was severely disabled.

My brother was not disabled at all and even if he was, no other human deserves to be treated the way he was treated, disabled passengers are also human. We want United Airline to stop these inhuman criminal bad business practices so no other family will have to go through what we are going through. We demand United Airlines start treating passengers with the human rights they deserve, we are not asking too much, this is common decency and ethical morals.

If you look up Dr. Prosper, you will see that my brother was a very well-educated man that was trained by University of Twente in the Netherlands which is one of the top Pioneers in fusing technology, science and engineering with social sciences to impact the world around us but now he’s fighting for his life due to United Airlines extreme negligence.

One United Airlines staff stated that if my brother would have added his Doctor Title when he booked the flight he would have treated differently, and I wonder why!  United Airlines should treat every passenger with common decency without caring of who their titles.

None knows what append in the flight from New York to Huston and we don't know when he started getting sick. I emailed United Airlines customer care asking genuinely asking what happened and the name of the crew so we can find out more details of how my brother ended up in a COMA but United Airlines have refused to communicate. I received an email from someone called Kathleen Hart from United customer cares headquarters, with just 2 lines claiming that she can’t comment while I was genuinely asking because the doctors were also struggling to figure out what happened to my brother.

After minimum communication from United Airlines customer care headquarters, we tried to go to the Airport hoping to get some clarification, but they keep sending us in circles, telling us to contact United customer care headquarters.

Even the Airport Chaplain who witnessed what my brother is going through tried to help us and went with us to the Airport to see if United Airlines staff would eventually tell us what really happened to my brother but when we got there, they refused to communicate again and even tried to call the police trying to frame us making it sounds us to be the dangerous ones but luckily the 2 police officers that were called ended up siding with us and acknowledging that it was not ethical how United Airlines handled everything, they were even refusing to give us their names but one of the officers said that he was working at the airport and he has on the day 911 was called by the witness and he felt really of what happened and how United Airlines extremely neglected my brother . He also mentioned that none cared to take a witness report on the day of the incident but luckily there is evidence of 911 call and plenty of video were taken.

My brother has 2 little kids and a wife, and they deserve answers, they are now going through challenges due to this extreme negligence and wrongdoings from United Airlines.

We want to find out why United Airline didn't care about calling medical help in Houston as they could tell that he was not the same man when he started his journey in New York and also the fact that he was unconscious and couldn’t even stand or hold himself up, they should have at least tried to help him with the dignity he deserved. It was not the stranger’s job to give him assistance and even when she asked them in flight, they could have made an effort to help. All the medical staff we talked with said that at least when they landed in Baton Rouge, it was United Airlines responsibility to call EMS and status 1,2,3 as an emergency so we really want answers United Airlines of what happened in the flight from New York to Huston to the point a normal function man that was able to take himself to the Airport, talking and walking normal but ended up unconscious and having to be lifted by 2 staff in his seat in the connecting flight and United Airline didn’t care to call for medical help or at least call his family?

United Airlines has been accused of extreme negligence and corporate wrongdoing. These allegations are serious and warrant a thorough investigation to ensure that the rights and safety of passengers are not compromised. United Airlines had many complaints filed against them for various reasons including customer service. This is an alarming number that cannot be ignored. We call upon relevant authorities to investigate these claims thoroughly and hold United Airlines accountable for any proven misconduct. Please sign this petition if you believe in passenger rights and corporate accountability.
