The Issue
Story of Injustice and Inhumane Treatment by Mesa Police Officers
In a small town engulfed in fear and distrust, a man named Mr. Lerch faced a harrowing ordeal at the hands of the Mesa Police officers. After being rudely tackled to the ground and having his breathing cut off due to a knee shoved in his neck, Mr. Lerch suffered a cracked sternum injury that haunted him with pain and trauma1 . Despite being considered high risk and desperately needing medical attention, the officers callously refused to transport him to the hospital, neglecting his well-being and disregarding his suffering.
The ordeal took a darker turn when the Mesa Police officers planted drugs on Mr. Lerch, falsely incriminating him and leading to his wrongful conviction and an unjust ten-year prison sentence1 . Far away from justice and locked in a prison cell, Mr. Lerch languishes, fighting for his innocence and struggling against the unjust system that deprives him of his freedom1 . His voice silenced, his rights violated, Mr. Lerch remains trapped in a legal nightmare where truth is buried under the weight of corrupt actions and wrongful accusations.
Demand for Accountability and Justice
Amidst the shadows of injustice, there arises a beacon of hope and resilience in the form of a petition demanding accountability and justice from the City of Mesa and the Maricopa County Superior Court. This call for action seeks to shed light on the egregious misconduct of the Mesa Police officers, holding them accountable for the untold suffering and wrongful conviction imposed upon Mr. Lerch1 . It advocates for the truth to be unveiled, for innocence to be proven, and for the unlawful detention of Mr. Lerch to be rectified.
The urgency of proving Mr. Lerch's innocence and releasing him from the confines of an Arizona prison resonates as a cry for justice that cannot be ignored. The petition stands as a testament to the relentless pursuit of truth, the unwavering demand for accountability, and the unwavering commitment to right the wrongs inflicted upon an innocent man1 . It symbolizes the collective voice raised against injustice, the unity forged in seeking redress, and the strength derived from standing together in the face of adversity.
Fighting Against Unjust Systems and Seeking Freedom
As the days grow long and the shadows of corruption loom large, the battle for truth and justice wages on. The plight of Mr. Lerch serves as a stark reminder of the injustices prevalent within our judicial system, the abuses of power perpetrated by those meant to uphold the law, and the silent cries of the wrongfully accused. It underscores the critical need to dismantle oppressive systems, hold accountable those who abuse their authority, and ensure that justice prevails over injustice.
In the fight for Mr. Lerch's freedom, the petition stands as a beacon of hope, a symbol of resilience, and a testament to the power of collective action in the face of adversity. It embodies the unwavering spirit of those who refuse to be silenced, who dare to challenge the status quo, and who strive to create a future where truth triumphs over deceit, justice prevails over corruption, and freedom reigns supreme. In the quest for accountability and justice, the petition for Mr. Lerch's innocence echoes a resounding call for a better, fairer, and more just society.
This is not an isolated incident; police misconduct has been a recurring issue nationwide with over 4,000 cases reported in 2020 alone (source: National Police Misconduct Reporting Project). Yet accountability remains elusive due to systemic issues within our judicial system.
Please sign this petition demanding accountability from our law enforcement agencies and judicial system - because no one should live in fear of those meant to keep them safe.
Its important to hold these officers accountable because if we don't they will just continue to harass and abuse other innocent civilians just to hopefully get a promotion or to try to look good to their coworkers. The sargent couldn't even hold his officer Anduze accountable and blamed my father for everything that has happened to him.
This officers gun and bullets came flying out of his belt. Isn't his responsibility for him to make sure his weapon and bullets are securely fastened in his belt?? What if his gun would have gotten stolen by a bystander or worse off, what if he would of accidentally shot my father or one of his partners?? That careless ignorance should result in him being fired on the spot. That's a derious danger to the public!! Demand that all these officers be fired! And all false charges against Ronald Lerch be dropped!! Call the Mesa Police Chief at 480-644-2211 and demand these actions. Chiefs name is Ken Cost and his email is PoliceChief@MesaAZ.gov. Thank you all for your ongoing support!
