Demand Accountability for Dr. Moseley and the Board of Curators for Workplace Bullying

Demand Accountability for Dr. Moseley and the Board of Curators for Workplace Bullying
The Issue
This petition is deeply personal, as it involves the tragic loss of a respected colleague and friend, Dr. Antoinette Candia-Bailey. As Vice President for Student Affairs, she was an integral part of our university community. However, she believed that taking her own life was the only way to bring attention to the issues within our administration under President Dr. Moseley's leadership.
Dr. Candia-Bailey's suicide has exposed a toxic work environment where bullying is rampant and unaddressed by those in power - specifically Dr. Moseley and his staff - leading to severe consequences on mental health.
Workplace bullying can lead to severe psychological effects including depression and anxiety disorders (Source: American Psychological Association). In extreme cases like this one, it can even lead to suicide.
We demand immediate action from the Board of Curators who have so far failed in their duty to ensure a safe working environment at our institution. We call for an independent investigation into these allegations against Dr.Moseley and his staff members.
This tragedy should never have happened; we must ensure it never happens again by holding those responsible accountable for their actions or lack thereof.
Please sign this petition today – let us honor Dr.Candia-Bailey’s memory by fighting against workplace bullying at our university.
