Demand a Referendum for One Vote One Value System

Demand a Referendum for One Vote One Value System
The issue
As a passionate advocate for the stability and equitable representation of our government, I have witnessed firsthand how a government with less than 32% primary votes can lead to pressing issues within our nation. Our current preferential voting system has frequently resulted in a government that does not adequately represent the majority of our country's citizens.
I am deeply convinced that a referendum to scrap our preferential voting system would lead to a more representative, balanced and stable government. This shift to a one vote one value policy would ensure that each citizen’s vote carries equal weight.
This belief is based upon careful observation and study of various voting systems around the world. For example, in New Zealand, which adopted a Mixed-Member Proportional representation system in the 1990s, fewer parties have managed to wield disproportionate power and the government has consistently represented a wide variety of interests.
Therefore, I am urging the government to call a referendum related to this critical issue. A government that truly represents its people will lead to a stronger, more unified, and successful nation. Please join me in signing this petition to advocate for a shift towards equal and fair representation. Sign the petition today and let us make our voices heard.
