As a deeply concerned citizen observing the steady and seemingly rapid decline of our nation, my personal experience echoes that of many within the United Kingdom. We experience dwindling living standards, increasing societal unhappiness, and a pervasive sense of helplessness. The call for a comprehensive public inquiry into British politics is not simply a whim; it is a necessary step towards envisioning a better future for all.

The two-class political system is failing us, with a serious lack of genuine representation for the people. This fosters disillusionment, leading to an undeniable sense of betrayal among many UK citizens. The dissatisfaction of the public is palpable; in a recent survey, only 30% expressed trust in the government, one of the lowest rates in the OECD (Edelman Trust Barometer, 2021).
