Dear Apple, Google, Microsoft and other members of the Unicode Consortium

On one sacred day every year, the 4th of October, Nordics around the world gather together to indulge themselves with their beloved delicacy; the Cinnamon bun. 

To millions, the humble Cinnamon bun is more than just a delicious pastry. It’s a symbol of hope, celebration, togetherness, and happiness that connects expats everywhere back home to the hills of the homelands.

On our keyboards we have 160 different little images celebrating foods from eggplants to pizza to tacos to sushi. And yet, in the year 2023, the era of metaverse and AI, Scandinavians have no way to send a simple pictogram over a text message. 

It's time to get this cinnamon bun out of the oven and onto our phones.
