Good Evening,
On Sunday (November 18th), we had the pleasure of hosting special guest Jim Hawkins, Sumner County Schools 6th District Board Member. Mr. Hawkins was eager to answer our questions, and learn about our perspectives as both individuals and a whole group. As a result of this meeting, he promised to take the information he obtained from us, including our opinions on transitional (temporary) rezoning, portable classrooms, and more back to Dr. Phillips for review.
According to Mr. Hawkins, the School Board Meeting on November 27th (more information at stopstage1.org) has the Stage 1 zoning proposal as the lead item on the agenda. Members of the community will be allowed to address the Board by signing up at the podium. In an effort to coordinate our message and prevent redundancy, we ask that anyone who wishes to address the Board on November 27th, also attend our community meeting this Sunday November 25th at 12:30 in the Carellton clubhouse. If you are unable to attend these meetings, but wish to have your question presented to the board, please email us at StopStage1@outlook.com
We are still looking for volunteers! Many of you have asked how you can help move our message forward, and the answer can be found at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0d4caca72aa4fb6-stop
