Over 100,000 Flock cameras have popped up around the country and they are now in Delavan.  Flock is a surveillance system being used to track our daily movements in cars and has been implemented under the guise of aiding law enforcement in criminal investigations.  What it also does is violate our privacy, the constitution and puts our neighbors at risk.  Cases and lawsuits are stacking up against the company and those using it.   Flock is documented lying to or bribing the cities they enter contracts with to downplay what data their system collects and what the data is being used for.  A cop from Texas should not be able to stalk or track someone coming to Wisconsin without a warrant and these cameras have made it possible.  Our data, our every day movements should not be for sale to data brokers or availabile in a national database for anyone to see, whenever they want. The problem is agencies (inside and) outside of Delavan PD having warrantless access to us without our knowledge or consent, as our department has no way of knowing what information is being used or abused outside of their purview.  With 500 signatures and enough community support we can end the FLOCK contract in Delavan!  The budget is reviewed annually, we can get them out by 2027 and that is fast approaching!  Flock contracts are being canceled everywhere with enough public pressure, even in Madison!  Thank you for taking the time to read this, attached are a few articles with more information.
