Eagle Mountain Lake, Tx  residents are facing low water levels since the TRWD (Tarrant Regional Water District) decided to sell water for commercial usage.  The water is also allocated to support municipal, residential and agricultural uses which suffer due to the commercialization of this coveted resource.

Corporations including but not limited to oil, gas, fracking, water transfer to other lakes and data centers are taking advantage of this permit to purchase water from Eagle Mountain Lake.  Various local cities are also utilizing water from Eagle Mountain including Fort Worth, Arlington, and Mansfield across 11 North Texas counties.  

Recently, water was sold from EML for Water Transfer /  Fracking and was withdrawn while the lake was already at least 2 feet below full pool, well below flood level.

Where does that leave residents of Wise and Tarrant County though?  

Support our requests by signing our request for TRWD to :

• Immediately replenishing Eagle Mountain Lake levels as water is sold to commercial entities by utilizing the existing Integrated Pipeline Project pumps. 
• Dredge the entire North end of Eagle Mountain Lake near the mouth of the opening of the Trinity River to increase water depth.

The funds from commercial purchases should be utilized immediately to transport water and dredge the North end of EML to improve water depth and to replenish and conserve our lake.  

Critical residential needs such as firefighting and protection of the natural ecosystem can be affected.

Eagle Mountain Lake was NOT near FLOOD Level when the recent water was sold and removed by TRWD for commercial use.
