Kylie and Dannii Minogue are Melbourne-born global icons who have significantly shaped the entertainment industry for decades. From their first appearances on our television screens in the 1970s, to producing world-class music from the 1980s through to today, they are undeniably pivotal figures in pop culture.

Their contribution to the music industry combined with their unwavering advocacy, love, and support for the LGBTQIA+ community makes them deserving of recognition in their hometown. 

Therefore, we propose the dedication of a laneway in the Melbourne central business district to be named "Minogue Lane".

We believe that such a gesture would be a fitting tribute to these incomparable women and their contribution to society, culture and the entertainment industry. This action would not only symbolise Melbourne's appreciation for their work, but also encourage a positive message of inclusivity that both sisters and our city champion.
