I am a New Zealander, and I feel a strong sense of loyalty and love for my country. Our nation's history is rich and deep, and it deserves recognition. That's why I am proposing the 28th of October be established as a national holiday, to be known as 'New Zealand Day' or 'New Zealand Independence Day'.
