Why this petition matters

Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur  ( 1 April 1621 – 11 November 1675) was the ninth of ten Gurus (spirtual masters/teachers) of  Sikh religion and the leader of Sikhs from 1665 until his beheading in 1675. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guru_Tegh_Bahadur Guru Tegh Bahadur was executed  on the orders of Aurangzeb, the sixth Mughal emperor, in Delhi, India  because he was opposing Aurangzeb's policy of  forcibly converting religion of native  Hindus to  Islam , the religion of the then rulers.  Guru sacrificed his life to protect the religious identity of Kashmiri Hindu Pundits from being forcibly  converted into Islam  religion against their will and in this way He protected the human rights of common people  by opposing the basic human rights violating  policies of  the then rulers .This holy act was performed in 1675, much earlier  ' The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)  ' came into existence in United Nations General Assembly in Paris on 10 December 1948. Therefore Martyrs Day ( 11 November)  of Guru Tegh Bahadur is worth declaring International Human Rights.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) , the Appex body dealing with  Sikh's religious affairs has also passed resolution in March 2021 on similar lines.https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/chandigarh/declare-gurus-birth-anniv-as-international-human-rights-day-sgpc-to-un/articleshow/81767656.cms
