Hi fellow wildlife people,

Diana here.  We are gearing up for a busy summer in preparation for the 45-day public comment period that is scheduled for "late July" in Point Reyes National Seashore.

Our biggest task right now is to widen our public outreach and spread the word of what is at stake during this General Land Management amendment process.  We need as many voices present to showcase there are a LOT of people who want the park to prioritize saving wildlife and protecting the park's natural landscape and biodiversity-- and of course this means saving the Tule Elk.

What can you do to help?

1. Share this petition!  We would love to get this petition to 10,000 signatures!  A quick share on your social media, even tagging some people is a great way to spread the word and help get signatures.

2. Write a public comment-- and get your friends to sign it as well!  We would love to get 1,000 letters signed. We have a template letter we can send you via snail mail.  Would you be willing to get 20 letters signed? This could look like inviting your friends over for dinner and having them sign it, or taking it to your work place, or anything you'd like!  When you have them signed, you can mail it back to us.   reach me at:  action@forelk.org

3. Get educated on the issue!  We are hosting another film screening of the documentary Shame of Point Reyes at the New Parkway Theater in Oakland, CA.  Sunday, July 7th at 12:30pm.  FREE tickets are here: Shame of Point Reyes

As the public comment period approaches, we will be posting updates as far as our plan of action to make sure our voices are heard.  Thanks for your support.

Save the elk!
Love,
The For Elk Team
