Great news in the Meadow Pointe 7-Eleven saga!
The realtor who is selling the parcel of land at the corner of Mansfield and County Line has confirmed the property is back on the market! The property had previously been under contract with the developer proposing the 16 fuel pump gas station. The county staff overseeing the developer’s application, which requests a MAJOR amendment to current zoning or even a complete rezoning that would allow the gas pumps, has not yet been able to confirm the developer has withdrawn their application. However, obviously this is very promising news! We should know more any day now regarding the status of the application.
Despite all of this, PLEASE, PLEASE do not let down your guard, as this is at least the third attempt from a developer looking to put a gas station at this intersection. And, unless we continue to make noise, it certainly won’t be the last, especially with the Kinnan/Mansfield connector issue still looming and unresolved!
Please continue to encourage anyone and everyone you know, who also opposes a gas station in the heart of OUR Meadow Pointe community, now or EVER, to continue to join our Facebook group (MP711) and sign our petition. There truly is strength in numbers, especially when those numbers are organized towards a common goal!
