Two Important Updates! #1) Per Pasco Planning and Development Director, the developer is going to be asking for a continuance to a time uncertain. What the implications of this are, as the land is no longer currently under contract, remains unclear. What is clear is that the developer will be required to re-notice and re-post for the new hearing dates. In addition, the senior planner has asked the developer to hold a neighborhood meeting. We don't yet know when this meeting will take place, but it would be required prior to any public hearings. So while it sounds like the developer has not completely packed up, this will give us additional time and opportunity to continue to organize and speak out. #2) The following is a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE from Michael Cline, Meadow Pointe 2 CDD Board of Supervisors, Chairman: According to the District Councils advice, the CDD cannot take any action other than passing a motion against the opening of Mansfield AND the 7-Eleven issue, which they have done. CDD supervisors can act on their own, but not as a representative of the CDD, which all have also done. THE MEADOW POINTE 2 RESIDENCE COUNCIL, A PURELY VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION, HAS INDICATED THEY WOULD TAKE THE LEAD, BUT THEY NEED EVERYONE'S HELP. THEY WILL BE MEETING WEDNESDAY 1/10/18 AT 630PM AT THE MP2 CLUBHOUSE. ALL CONCERNED ABOUT THE MANSFIELD/KINNAN CONNECTOR AND/OR THE 7-ELEVEN, PLEASE JOIN US!
