Hello everyone! The NCAA just announced that sexual violence prevention education is now MANDATORY for all NCAA schools! This is not a step to ban violent athletes, but it is a vital step to preventing future violence on our campuses. I've included the link to the NCAA policy and I've also included an article that Think Progress did on my mother and I. I also want you to know that banning violent athletes is still a topic of discussion! The NCAA Board of Governors voted to have the Commission to Combat Sexual Violence research and make recommendations to them about what to do with violent athletes. This means that my mother will continue to sit on the Commission and fight for our voices to be heard - especially the voices of survivors. I cannot thank you all enough for your support! The newest NCAA policy is going to have a huge impact on the issue of violence on our campuses. My mom is already hearing from students and people in athletic departments thanking her for pushing this important policy. Thank you, Darius Adams http://www.ncaa.org/about/resources/media-center/news/board-adopts-sexual-violence-policy
