Hello everyone! I wanted to update you on what Darius and I have been doing. The petition you signed is urging the NCAA to do something about violent athletes. With your support we were able to get the NCAA to convene the Committee to Combat Sexual Violence. I sit on this committee and we are currently discussing potential bylaws and legislation. However, the process is slow… very slow. That’s why I created the #SetTheExpectation campaign. We don’t need to wait for the NCAA to create bylaws that coaches have to follow and adhere to. We can urge them to take a stand on their own and #SetTheExpectation for their players that sexual assault and physical violence are NEVER ok. To help coaches draw the line in the sand – I’ve created a pledge for high school and college athletes.
