Tonight during the protests in Fort Lauderdale a white male police officer is filmed striking/shoving a black female who is peacefully sitting in protest. This officer must be identified and terminated immediately.
He should also be charged for assault. If she has struck him she would have been in jail.
Broward County definition of an assault crime: Assault is considered the threat of violence or physical assault upon another, without actually carrying out the threat. Most often charged along with Battery, which is the actual physical harm caused to another, Assault & Battery is a common offense.
