I lease a small residential block of land in the Southwest of Western Australia. It is owned by the Public Transport Authority (PTA). I have been here 12 years. I own an old fetter's cottage that has been here 130 years. Recently I received a letter informing me that the lease would be terminated. I am 60 years old. I live on a pension so cannot afford to rent. I cannot share due to my personality traits. If this comes about I will be homeless.

This not only will affect me but anyone who leases land for residential purposes on rail corridor land in Western Australia.

PTA comes under the minister for Transport, Dean Nalder. He could intervene and stop this. All I ask is that I can continue to stay here until I can no longer look after the place, another 15 years or so.
