De-blacklist Keith McKenna

De-blacklist Keith McKenna
The Issue
Last year Keith McKenna, a lead reviewer with the British Theatre Guide, wrote a review of a play on at Summerhall, in Edinburgh, during the Fringe. The playwright complained to the venue that Keith's review uses anti-semitic tropes, and this year Keith has been blacklisted in terms of press tickets by the venue.
As I see it and as Keith's editor sees it, the review contains no anti-semitic tropes at all.
You can see it here:
To blacklist a reviewer over a single unfounded complaint of anti-semitism, is a seriously biased decision. Theatre needs to be free of neurotic censorship, if it is to help create a culture that gives peace a chance. Keith is known for his pro-Palestinian, pro-justice views, but of course this never has been and never will be the same as being anti-semitic.
Please sign this petition letter calling for Summerhall to de-blacklist Keith McKenna, and apologise to him for the way he has been treated.
