Aquaman director James Wan recently released the title of Aquaman 2 and confirmed that filming has begun, and the backlash from #JusticeForJohnnyDepp fans was immediate.
Depp fans and abuse survivors flooded both of Wan's Instagram messages with so many calls for Amber Heard to be removed from Aquaman 2 that he had to restrict his comments.
Also, one brave fan placed a "Justice for Johnny Depp" poster outside the Warner Bros studio outside London as a reminder that millions of people have sworn to boycott the film vehemently if and when it comes out.
People aren't soon to forget that Johnny Depp was removed from the Pirates franchise and fired from Fantastic Beasts while his abuser continues to work. It's a double standard that should and must be rectified.
Aquaman 2 is set to be released in December, 2022.
