Barnaby Joyce, Johnny Depp’s biggest fan (not) is demanding that Amber Heard be probed over statements she made when she was charged with smuggling the toy Yorkies Pistol and Boo into Australia. There are strict laws about bringing animals into Australia without a quarantine period, and Heard volated them when she brought the dogs into the country on the couple’s private jet. She got out of jail time by agreeing to make a public service announcement about how important the country’s bio-laws are. You can see the cringe-worthy video HERE.

Now, Barnaby Joyce is demanding that Amber Heard be probed for perjury after allegedly telling an assistant to lie about bringing her two dogs illegally into Australia at the time.
Depp's former assistant of eight years, Kevin Murphy, said Heard made him lie under oath when they were accused of bringing in the dogs illegally. Mr Murphy claimed Heard told him: 'I want your help on this. I wouldn't want you to have a problem with your job'. The assistant said he had told the actress several times over the phone, email and in person she was unable to bring the dogs.
Paperwork and the required ten day quarantine period had not been arranged for Pistol and Boo.

Barnaby Joyce is calling the whole thing Dodgy ', saying that Depp and Heard were “just treating the whole thing as a joke. They had no regard for the law as they had no regard for biosecurity laws,' Mr Joyce said. And now he wants Amber Heard to pay for it. He’s got no love lost for Johnny Depp, but it was Amber Heard that smuggled the dogs.

“The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment is aware of recent media reports concerning the prosecution of Ms Amber Heard in Australia in 2016 and is consulting with the CDPP (Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecution) on this issue,” a spokesperson told Strewth. After a bit of sniffing around, senior sources informed us an investigation was potentially on the cards. The maximum penalty for perjury in Queensland? Fourteen years in jail.

14 years. That’s nothing to play with.

What do you think? Will Amber Heard be tried and convicted in Australia on top of her legal woes with Johnny Depp? Me, I hope so. I hope so a lot.
