In case you missed it, yesterday the Riverfront Times featured our efforts to Keep St. Louis Bread Co. in the Delmar Loop. (Link below) The response has been overwhelming. Over 500 people signed the petition as of this morning and we're already well on our way to 600 by the end of the day. Still, it could be a long road ahead to ensure this integral piece of the University City community stays where it belongs, right on the Delmar Loop. As our early signers, I'm depending on all of you to let your friends and family know about the planned closing and our efforts to keep it open. With a major St. Louis chain leaving one of the most celebrated retail districts in the city, the Loop and it's surrounding neighborhoods could be in a vulnerable position. While we all value our local coffee shops and cafes, it's that mix of local and national brands that creates a vibrant and stable community. If the investment of major brands - like Panera - can increase property values as much as 30% over time, what happens when those brands leave a corridor over time? Let's demonstrate to Panera that this diverse community can be lucrative for a diversity of businesses and compel them to make a continued commitment to a city that has shown incredible loyalty. Share this petition and keep the momentum moving. Our next goal is 1,000! Thank you and keep up the great work, Dan
