Just 3 years ago The Michigan Highway Dept installed a Moose Xing sign on hwy 141 @ Cable Lake rd, since the clear cutting began the Moose xing sign is gone and so are the Moose. I used to have them walk my property and hang out in the swamp, oh what a sight to behold....GONE!!! The DNR tries to say that CLEAR CUTTING has no effect on the wildlife, do they just think we are STUPID! I try to keep my property a sanctuary for the animals but they keep cutting all around me, I need help to STOP THEM... MOOSE in da UP, don't they get it!! It took a 100 years to bring them back and just GREED to chase them away AGAIN!!
