Stop the sale of The National Parks, Lake District

The Issue

What are National Parks?
National Parks are beautiful, spectacular and often dramatic expanses of relatively wild country. Each National Park has its own managing authority to conserve and enhance its natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage and to help people understand and enjoy its special qualities.

National Parks are protected under legislation and the planning system to ensure conservation and enhancement of their special qualities not just for the present, but also for future generations of residents and visitors.

The Lake District National Park Authority is offering seven of its properties for sale by formal tender, including iconic beauty spot Stickle Tarn.along with 6 other national park  properties.

They include river frontage at Portinscale and Keswick; Blue Hill and Red Bank Wood at Ambleside; Blea Brows on the banks of Coniston Water at Torver; Baneriggs Wood between Grasmere and Rydal Water; Lady Wood, White Moss in Grasmere; and Yewbarrow in Longsleddale.

All these properties are the not theirs to sell They are National Park sites or should be they belong to the people of the United Kingdom

Have you every got tired of people just taking what is not theirs and making a profit from what is rightfully yours ?

Its time to take action we have 4 weeks please save these sites

Morning everyone… I'd just like to re-post something I wrote yesterday. I believe this is very important…………. As set out in the Environment Act 1995, among the Lake District National Park Authority's statutory purposes are:
To conserve and enhance the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of the Lake District National Park.
Can anyone please explain how it will "conserve and enhance" Stickle Tarn and all the other sites up for sale by selling them off.
I believe the LDNPA is breaking the law by ignoring what it is required to do by the 1995 Act.

thank you
