I am starting this petition to lift the ban on pitbulls in the UK as i believe this ban is unnecessary. Pitbulls are lovely dogs, with the right training and care will be just as loving and sweet natured as any other breed. The reason pitbulls are banned is because they are thought to be vicious as they were originally bred for fighting, however this is not case, pitbulls should be treated the same as any other breed, it is the owner who influences the dogs behaviour and temperament. Any dog can be vicious if not trained correctly but with the right owner and training pitbulls will be just as lovely as any other breed that is not banned. The USA do not have this ban and around 30% of the population are living with these beautiful natured dogs with no issues. Please help me get this ban lifted so we are able to love and care for these beautiful dogs.
