This is more than a petition. This is a movement for Chunky the Chihuahua and for every innocent animal who can’t speak up when they’re hurt, tortured, or left for dead.

Chunky’s story isn’t just heartbreaking; it’s horrific. He was drugged, beaten, his neck broken, set on fire, and thrown away like trash. He fought to live through unimaginable pain and trauma. And somehow miraculously, he survived.

But what happened next is almost as shocking:
His abusers received only a five-year ban on owning animals. Five years. That’s it.

After that, they’re free to walk into a pet store or shelter and do it all again.

Where’s the justice?
Where’s the accountability?
Where’s the protection for future victims?

💔 Chunky passed away on March 19, 2023. He was a tiny soul with a massive heart, a little warrior who captured the love and heartbreak of a nation. We owe it to him and to every voiceless animal to fight for real change.

In some U.S. states like New York and Tennessee, Animal Abuse Registries are already law. If Chunky’s case had happened there, those abusers would be permanently banned from owning another pet.

🛑 In the UK, we don't have that. Not yet. But we can change that together.

I’m calling on the UK Government to:

✅ Create a national Animal Abuse Register (for England AND Wales)
✅ Ensure abusers—no matter their age—are permanently barred from owning animals
✅ Give the public, shelters, and breeders access to this list, the same way we do with sex offenders and child abusers
Because animals are family. Because five years isn’t enough. Because rehabilitation is not guaranteed. Because Chunky deserved better. And because next time, it might be your pet.
