Elect a NEW Work and Pensions secretary for 2015. We need a fresh approach to benefits.
The Issue
As a citizen of the United Kingdom I have been overly concerned about the number of people around me who have been effected by and spoken out against Iian Duncan Smiths regimes. It strikes me as odd that a man with such a bad reputation in his field could be re-elected to a role that targets the most deprived and weak members of our society. His tactics are not out for the benefit of our people and seem to only serve the wishes of the upper classes and national profit. These cuts can be made from other areas. Villianising the poor to me is just a bully tactic. Yes we need reform but it needs to be fair and just. Numerous reports suggest that as a result of Iain Duncan Smiths last term in the cabinet he was responsible for bringing in regimes that led to the deaths of at least 60 people during the last 3 years
"It has emerged that the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has carried out 60 reviews into deaths linked to benefit cuts in the past three years. Shocking cases reveal a spike in suicides and health deterioration resulting from cuts."
He has also been responsible for the creation of a website that cost us in excess of 200 million due to it's failure.
"The government has written off £34m of IT work on its troubled Universal Credit project, and more than £140m of money already spent is under review to determine if the IT developed has any lasting value.
Despite the write-off, the projected IT budget for the programme has increased by 60% from £396m to £637m."
I would urge you to review his competence, this is a man who was sacked as leader of your party. If you truly wish for "Britain to be great again" then this man is not going to help you do it. I have witnessed the rise in homeless people and food banks around me. It starts at the bottom but will work its way to the top. I truly believe that the majority of the UK does not agree with his schemes and that we wish for someone else to take charge now. 5 years more of this will have Britain on its knees.
Yours sincerely Miss S Manley UK and all of my signatories.
