The UK Government is yet to make a decision on whether or not to change their policy towards human beings seeking refuge in this country. As it stands, the British Government has not made a formal announcement of the amount of people who will be allowed to seek refuge. 

The European policy is that a refugee must stay in the first country where he or she arrives in Europe. However, Germany has already decided not to follow this policy. 

What if individual British people/ families/ communities were to sign a petition stating that they would host refugees in their own homes/ community centres/ local churches/ abandoned buildings?

We are human beings. We have homes and space. For what it's worth, the Government needs to know that the people of this country would be willing to invest their personal space and care into helping those in need. Solidarity, Humanity, Empathy.
