I have become overwhelmed with the recent thefts, abandonment and cruelty inflicted on animals. Several European countries have recently changed the law to class Dogs and Cats as Sentient Beings rather than property. The change in classification would make it easier to hold accountable the perpetrators that are inflicting this distress on not only the animals but the owners too, The theft of a dog or cat is not similar in any way to that of any property, the UK (The nation of Animal Lovers) we see out pets as family members and they need to be reflected as so in the UK law. We also hope that a change in the classification would eventually make it easier to implement tougher sentences to those who steal pets or absue them, The French law was accomplished by a petition, please share this with all your friends so we can get the same for our ever faithful loving non judgmental pets that make the life of so many so much brighter,
