Ban the sale of imported fur in the UK

Ban the sale of imported fur in the UK
The Issue
The fur industry is an abomination perpetuated within the UK by the legality of the imported fur trade.
Numerous high-end brands which sell within the UK, such as Canada Goose, still use animal fur in the manufacturing process of their products despite the plethora of synthetic, cruelty-free materials that are widely available.
Fur originates from defenceless animals who are either trapped in the wild or raised in fur farms akin to concentration camps and then killed in various brutal ways. They are then skinned for their fur. Humans are not born with fur. Fur is for animals, not humans.
Shops like Harvey Nichols provide no justification for their sale of real animal fur, but continue to sell it.
The unnecessary torture and murder of innocent, sentient beings must be stopped. Fur farming has been illegal in the UK since 2003; however, imported fur is sadly still legal.
If this petition can reach 10,000 signatures, the UK government will acknowledge it.
If you would not appreciate being skinned and made into clothing, denounce the fur industry by signing this petition.
