Darryl Watson, CEO of Popular Clothing Brand Wrongfully Convicted. Help Us Bring Him Home!
The Issue
In December 2022, Darryl Watson, was wrongfully convicted of murder — a crime he did not commit. In June 2023, He was subsequently sentenced to 70 years in prison. Darryl's case is especially unique as it highlights the obvious flaws in our justice system and the urgent need for reform.
Please do not believe everything you see or read in the media. Things are not always what they seem.
- Darryl’s conviction was based solely on a fabricated testimony by a false witness.
- Initially there were 3 witnesses. 2 of the 3 witnesses DID NOT identify Darryl as the suspect. Witness #3 was unsure and did not appear in court. Subsequently, an unknown 4th person was used to portray the identity of Witness #3 and testify in court.
- Private investigators have confirmed that these are 2 different people. The person who testified was not the actual witness who was initially questioned.
- The suspect was seen on video running from the scene of the crime. Darryl was shot in the leg and injured just a few weeks before this incident occurred. There is NO way Darryl would have been able to physically run given his injuries at the time.
- There was absolutely no DNA or physical evidence linking Darryl to the scene of the crime.
- The suspect was seen not wearing gloves the entire day and at the time of the murder. There were various objects that the suspect was seen touching before and after the crime transpired. Darryl’s fingerprints were not found on any of these items or at the scene of the crime.
- There was no murder weapon.
There is an overwhelming amount of evidence that proves Darryl is innocent!
There were significant inconsistencies and incorrect practices that transpired during the course of his trial which were objected many times. Darryl was not given a fair trial and was wrongfully convicted.
Darryl has been incarcerated since 2019. He deserves another chance to prove his innocence.
This petition isn't just about bringing Darryl home; it's about standing up against wrongful convictions and fighting for justice against whats wrong and making it right. All we are asking for is a chance to be heard. We must be the voice for those who are voiceless.
