This past weekend, our community gathered for Together for Darius: A Night of Light and Hope — a powerful evening filled with faith, love, and unity.
It was impossible not to be moved as Darius’s grandfather spoke about how his grandson went missing during their families camping trip, every parent and grandparent’s worst nightmare.
His words reminded us why we fight: no family should ever have to endure this pain, and systemic silence ever again.
Honouring Water Offerings Boy
In a deeply moving ceremony, Darius was given his Blackfoot name Soy'Yee'Kik'Stak'ee'Sahhk'koo'Mapii — “Water Offerings Boy.”
Our heartfelt gratitude to Horn Society Elder One Gun and Siksika Elder Janice for leading the prayers and songs, and to Métis Elder Carl Jerome, whose presence symbolized the unity of our peoples in strength and purpose.
We also thank CTV National, CTV Lethbridge, CTV Calgary, Global News Lethbridge, Global News Calgary, and the Lethbridge Herald for covering this beautiful and emotional event.
Your coverage ensures that Darius’s story — and our call for reform — continues to reach Canadians across the country.
Support the Family’s Ongoing Search
Darius’s family continues their tireless efforts — organizing events, hanging posters, and sharing his story across Canada. They haven’t stopped for a single day.
A verified GoFundMe has been set up to help support their ongoing search, awareness efforts, and healing journey.

Strengthening Law Enforcement Partnerships
As we move forward, we’re inviting more law enforcement stakeholders — active and retired — to join the conversation and help us build a stronger Amber Alert system in Canada.
Several stakeholders have already reached out offering valuable insights. Your voices matter, and have been invaluable in guiding this initiative.
If you serve or have served in law enforcement and would like to weigh in, advocate for our reform please reach out anonymously or openly through:

Together, we can advocate for an Amber Alert model that empowers police with fast, geo-fenced Amber Alerts when a child is in danger, near borders, highways, and remote areas, known human trafficking corridors in Canada, without having to wait for proof of a confirmed abduction.
Next Step: A National Letter-Writing Campaign
We’re gearing up for a nationwide, coordinated letter-writing campaign to civic and federal representatives across Canada.
This will be the largest coordinated grassroots effort for Amber Alert reform in Canadian history — and we need your help to make it happen.
